Before Your Visit

Please prepare your students – and adult chaperones – for a positive, fun-filled and educational experience at Muscoot Farm.

The following are some suggestions from our staff

  • Allow your students to share any previous experiences of Muscoot Farm.   A large number of your students may have visited the farm with their families.  They will likely have positive memories of the animals and weekend events.
  • Invite your students to visit the website.  Our website has information about history and animals of the farm , as well as information about programs for adults and children.
  • Allow adequate time to visit the museum at the beginning of your visit.  The Museum is a launching spot for your group to view the farm as a living exhibit that feeds the imagination.

Please be aware of the following guidelines for your visit
  • Only three adults (chaperones and teachers) will be allowed on the tour with the students.   This policy is strictly enforced for the benefit of our educators and to allow for a positive learning experience for the students.
  • Groups will be expected to follow their schedule and be on time for both the tours and hayrides.  We operate on a tight schedule and any delay greatly affects other groups.
  • Groups are required to clean up after themselves.  Please leave the picnic areas as neat as you found them.
