Hiking Trails

Muscoot Farm offers seven miles of diverse hiking trails. Take a short hike out to the ice pond and relax on the dock, walk to the gazebo and enjoy a picnic lunch or opt for a more strenuous hike on the yellow trail. Through forest and fields the trails have something for everyone.

For the best possible experience please follow a few simple guidelines
  • Pets are not allowed at Muscoot Farm including the hiking trails.
  • All hikers must be off the trails by 4 p.m. when Muscoot Farm closes.
  • Small black and white maps are available in the reception center.
  • Large color maps are available for purchase in the Farm Office (Second floor of Reception Center)
  • Carry out all trash and other items.
  • Leave only footprints, take only pictures.

    The Trails at Muscoot Farm

    Red Trail
    .5 miles
    This woodland trail is a short hike and nice easy walk.   Trail leaves from the parking lot.


    White Trail
    2 miles
    A moderately strenuous hike.  Also known as the Big Tree Trail, along the way look for the Giant Maple, Giant Oak and Giant Tulip Tree.


    Yellow Trail
    3.5 miles
    This is the longest trail at Muscoot Farm.  Hiking the entire trail allows you to see a diversity of landscapes.


    Blue Trail
    .3 miles
    This is a connector trail, connecting two points along the yellow trail.


    Green Trail
    .3 miles
    This is also a connector trail, connecting two points along the yellow trail.
